The tests here are colorimetric tests and there are two methods for testing. You can use the colour card for a quick visual comparison and get a semi-quantitative result, or you can calibrate your Android phone for more accurate colour readings.

For accurate readings you will need to calibrate your phone. Calibration standards required are supplied with the kit. You need to calibrate your phone just once for every batch of reagents. You can reorder replacements from ffem at any time.
Since the kit contains chemical reagents, they are shipped by road, delivery could take between 15 and 30 days depending on the destination.
Some distilled water is supplied with the kit. However, you will need a larger quantity to conduct tests regularly.
Disclaimer: The test used here are standard colorimetric tests. However, they are different from standard laboratory tests. Different methods, reagents and extraction solutions are used in laboratories and so our kits will not give the same results. The tests provided here are however very useful to get a good idea on the nutrients in soil and managing fertilizer application.
